I don't want Sprigatito's finale evo to be bipedal![]()
- The region is called in japanese Paldea (from Pokémon + Aldea [Village in Spanish]). This is a rough translation; the original Japanese text is in the attached image
- Mega Evolutions are NOT back
- Durnsparce has a new evolution
- There's a new Dolphin Pokémon
- Murkrow has a new evolution
- Regional Dex: more than 400
- Fuecoco final evolution still an alligator
- No new Fossil Pokémon.
- Yesterday images already included 2 of the evolved starters.
- Hint of the gimmick
- New flamingo Pokémon
- Not all Hisuian Pokémon are in the game
- The gimmick doesn't involve Pokémon getting an extra type
- There are sidequests in the game
- Teddiursa, Komala, Rotom, Goodra and Sunflora are in the game. Woobat is not.
- group of 4 legendaries
- All Pokémon can use the new gimmick
- Lugia/Ho-Oh are NOT in
- When asked about the Champion, the leaker said both male/female when asked the gender (so maybe version exclusive champions?)
- Dunsparece evo does not fly.
- Aipom, Toucannon are NOT in.
- Misdreavous is IN.
- There is no new Dodrio form.
- Koraidon/Miraidon DO NOT have 5 forms.
- Furfrou, Skwovet, Minior are not in the game.
- Houndour line IS IN the game.
- Weezing is in the game.
- Skwovet IS IN the game.
- The leaker said that the Gen 9 starters are the only starters in the game. [At least in the main adventure, we don't know if any previous starters are transfer-only]
- Looks like Wigglytuff may be getting a regional form but hasn't been explicitly stated by the leaker. - The new gimmick: You can transform any Pokémon into that crystalized look by using a new item that looks like a ball, that Nemona gives you.
- A Gen 5 Pokémon gets a new evolution.
- The crystalization, seems to be the main gimmick of the region. All Pokémon can use it and most NPCs use it in-game. It's activated by a new ball-like item.
- The second new mechanic is the new type of forms. We still don't know what they are exactly.
- And a third new mechanic has been called "RFakes", but we don't know anything about it yet.
It can be any Type of our choice on any Pokémon we want. The power-up lasts for the First used Move of the selected Type.
It's unclear if the opponent can tell prior which Pokémon has the Power-up, It might be a surprise till activation when using the Move. It's also unclear if the Gimmick deactivates if we switch the Pokémon before using the Move.
We have to pick the Type this "Ball Item" affects prior any Battle in a certain location. That means It can slightly change its color in a range of colors to let the opponent aware of what set of Types you are going to power-up. Though this tweet Is my own interpretation.
The Crystal Pokémon we've seen Is this mechanic. If we use this Power-up, the Pokémon change drastically its appearence. Given that and given the fact that this Gimmick was referred as similar to Mega, we can assume the Pokémon might also change its Stats in the process.
The power-up lasts until we switch the Pokémon using It. This means the Crystal Form Is retained until that moment as well. So It Is more similar to a Mega since It lasts and less similar to a Z-Move or Gem Item.
Confirmed: You can change the Type on the "Ball Item" before any Battle. Unclear: You can change the Type on the "Ball Item" during any Battle. "Hard to explain" If the latter Is real then we can pick a set of Types before a Battle & choose which Type to use during a Battle.
Welcome to the generation where we have official Pokémon clones to fill the dex. This is crazy lol.
This generation has a higher number of new Pokémon than most recent generations. Game Freak moved from the trend of making lots of forms (like megas, regional forms) to instead introduce two new mechanics (the ancient forms and a second new gimmick) as completely new Pokémon.
More than 400 Pokémon in the Dex (Still less than 500 as of now) Between 99-120 brand new Pokémon Designs as of now (It's closer to 120), including: - New Mons - Regional Variants - RFakes - Crossgen Evos Between 280-401 returning known Pokémon
Ancient (and Future?) Pokémon Clones So far only ancient clones are confirmed (as the source has played Scarlet). Consists on ancient and future forms of existing Pokémon, however they get their own Pokédex number and name; are brand new Pokémon and not just forms.
Regional Fakes Yet another type of clones. These are a small group of new Pokémon that for meme reasons look ridiculously similar to existing Pokémon. For example, Digglet apparently has a water-type clone/fake, an eel that behaves and whose face looks like Digglet.
And of course, Regional Forms and Regional Evolutions are still here. This is the generation of clones.
