Q: Why did you decide on this pose ?
A: The previously released Dawn with Piplup statue has a rather calm, day-in-the-life design with Dawn doing a little stretch and Piplup playing with his bubbles. Lucas and Chimchar’s poses are designed similarly, where they are shown as if they are taking a break mid-journey or are about to set off again. These exciting poses are achieved thanks to the character designs of Hitoshi Ariga.
Q: What do you think are the best features of this protagonist?
A: I personally think Lucas has a more mature impression compared to the other protagonists. With many unique gadgets existing in the world of Pokémon, I was happy to be able to incorporate them into the figure’s pose. You can really feel the excitement in the air as Lucas and Chimchar prepare to venture to their next destination side by side!
Q: Is there anything you can tell us about what's coming in the future?
A: When we asked everybody what they wanted to see for the celebration of Pokémon’s 25th anniversary, we received many requests for more protagonist figures. Hearing this, we’re working on getting protagonists we haven’t made yet included in the lineup for the future, so help us keep it up by submitting pre-orders!
