Here's the thread where we can add rumours about the rumours for the Pokémon Switch 2019 game and fake Scans (they are fake until they are proven from the official CoroCoro scans or the official website).

First Generation 8 Pokemon should be revealed at the end of Movie 21. Around August in the new Anime Pokemon: Sun, Moon, Stars, we should be getting more Generation 8 Pokemon. The game in general should be announced late 2018 with a June/July 2019 release.

Theme is weather, and the games will be titled Pokemon Fire, And Pokemon Ice. It will be based on Italy and there will be volcanoes, icy mountains, and lots of caves

New game dependent weather system (Like Sun/Moons time System), And two (possibly 3) new weather types: Ice Rain, Soot, And Cyclone/Tornadoes (May be removed due to controversy. If not, it will create “Horde Battles”. So for example you fight a Seviper but a tornado picks up some tentacruel and drops them into the battle)

There are no loading screens, it is instant transition between areas on the map (may require loading for Kalos though)

Joycons will be used for throwing Pokeballs, Z-Moves, Mega Evolutions, Poke Ride, And Pokemon Amie

In the region there is a Battle Frontier/Tree/Resort/PWT sort of thing at the “Colosseum” where Pokemon battles “First originated”.

Villain either looks like Giovanni (Mob Boss in appearance), or Ghetsis (Like Leonardo Davinci), either or, both are imposing and don’t necessarily want to take over the world

Around 70-80 new Pokemon

Starters are a Grass/Dark Feminine Tanuki Which is sort of a trouble maker and is based on a Theif. It has some design elements based on Mario
A Fire/Fairy goat that design wise is actually pretty cool design wise. It’s “fairy wool” changes color camouflaging it into the ground. It is somewhat based on Snake and his ability to hide under boxes.
A Water/Steel “Sea Wolf” Based On a Pirate and it looks very roughed up

Pikachu clone is Fighting Type And is based on a a Gladiator

There is a new Eeveelution >> There are 2. Rock and Ground type. One looks like a stone lion thing, kind of represents a coliseum from Ancient Rome

There will be a Fire/Ice Mythical

New gimmick is “Z Evolution”. It is basically Mega Evolution But is flashier like Z-Moves. It allows for “fusions” between Pokemon but it works differently depending on the Pokemon. Pluslite Z And Minunite Z for example allows them to fuse into battle while Mewtwonite Z takes aspects from both Mega Mewtwo X and Mega Mewtwo Y (Which would require 2 Mewtwo on your party). The idea is to make a super powerful Pokemon, stronger than any legendary, for the cost of 2. Its sort of like a “7th Pokemon” in a way.

The battle system is going to be totally revamped and the changes will be very disruptive.

Attack, Special Attack, Defense, Special Defense, And Speed are all removed

The 3 stats for Pokemon are now Health, Armor, And Stamina

Health works like normal HP. Armor is a literal second Health Bar. Stamina figures into the move cool downs

Attacks are now found in two types. Normal (replaces Physical), does more damage to the Health Bar, but much less to the Armor Bar. Piercing (replaces Special), does more damage to the Armor Bar, but much less to the Health Bar

Since the Attack And Special Attack stats are removed, Damage is now move dependent

PP is replaced with cool down and the battles are now Pseudo Real-time. For example as soon as you click flamethrower, it does the attack right away even if the opponent didn’t move yet. But the cool down is 10 seconds so you have to wait before using it again. The Stamina stat plays into this. As you fight your stamina bar decreases causing the cool down to go up. Now flamethrower takes 20 seconds, now 30, now it takes a minute. So it starts as real-time but shifts into turn based as your Pokemon tire out. Dodging is also a thing now. Weather, items, moves, and abilities, can affect the stamina in game.

I checked it and... I'm scared of the fusions part. I will NEVER part with my Nova! She IS my Mystical Pokemon!! :wow:

Now I'm gonna laugh like the Great Papyrus to prove my point! NYEH HEH HEEEH!! :coool:
I can understand if they use somthing like the Ultra Burst for all mons (so that you can use both Mega and Z moves) but fusions? ... no thanks. We already have Kyurem and Necrozma for that....

Yeah, Ultra Burst sounds really cool to have, actually. Hard way to unlock, probably after elite 4, but worth it in the end, like the Eviolite.
It's not that hard... and you unlock it before the Elite 4
Catch Necrozma - you find it before the League, you can't miss it..
when you catch Necrozma you will obtain its Z Crystal
- catch Nebby where you first encountered it (so where you and Nebby are saved by Tapu Koko)
- fuse Nebby and Necrozma with the item Colress give you
- in battle you can use Ultra Burst
- after you used Ultra Burst (and Necrozma evolved into Ultra Necrozma - yes, this works like a Mega Evolution) you can use its exclusive Z Move

Poor Caterpie  no one loves it (yeah... he is useless XD)

I'm hoping too... Turn based battles are fun, but... not sure if real-time would suit Pokemon. It worked well with Pokken Tournament but for a open world? I don't know...
Uhm... in an interview they said that Masuda & Game Freak don't believe Pokémon would work well as an open world akin to Zelda (news here)

Now that I think about it... Reggie said that the game will be a "a traditional find, battle, train type experience" (news here) so... if you think about it... I doubt they will change the battle system that much... maybe the graphic but nothing else :yesyes2: :sisi2:

A recent rumour has popped up on Reddit regarding the highly anticipated Pokemon game for the Nintendo Switch. A job posting published on Creatures Inc website shows a screenshot of Pokemon created using the magnificent Unreal Engine 4. A lot of Japanese developers are using Unreal Engine 4 for their games, so it would make sense for the Pokemon Company to do the same.
“Screenshot shows Unreal Engine 4 (and something that looks like a visual shader editor, I’m not really familiar with UE) and a high-poly Pikachu 3D model on the left.
They mention Maya (3D modeling program by Autodesk), Unity and UE. However, the image and the fact that other 1st party games are made with Unreal (Yoshi) suggest that Pokemon might use it as well.”

This is the official website: https://www.creatures.co.jp/recruit/1261/
And here's the image

Well, some fans already started creating something here and there with the Unreal Engine 4 and it was awesome! So I'm really curious what Game Freak will be able to do!
(Here's the thread for the Pokémon created with the Unreal Engine by the fans: http://www.pokemon-trainer.com/threads/pokemon-created-on-the-unreal-engine.587/ )

A post made on a Chinese forum, included three photographs of what seems to be the starting Pokémon for the next Pokémon Switch game. Like always, it's not confirmed!
gen_viii_grass_starter[1].jpg
gen_viii_fire_starter[1].jpg
gen-viii-water-starter[1].jpg

Here are the typings that were mentioned with the photos:
  • Grass-line final evo is Grass/Electric-type
  • Fire-line final evo is Fire/Steel-type
  • Water-line final evo is pure Water-type
why only that poor water type don't have a double type??

That's what worries me, because they look like something created from a mind of a child.

1st one looks like a standing Shinx...
2nd one looks like MLP character Spitfire (don't ask... I did voicepak mod developing years ago and... MLP was a topic back then. :/)
3rd one looks like origami... just... origami... what are they thinking? :/
